Onlinebackup: Maintenance – Replacing storage backend.

2019-11-19 23:30 Onlinebackup is back in operation and backups are running since a few hours back. As we wanted to get the service up in production as soon as possible we couldn’t move the old backups to the new storage. As a result of this, the first backup will be a full backup.

If you need to restore data from old backup, please contact support for assistance.


2019-11-19 10:30 As it have been alot of issues with the current storage back end, we are now adding new storage solution to our Online backup services, and have been forced to shut down the service while moving metadata.


2019-11-17 13:10  Onlinebackup backend has been restored and is operational again but with reduced performance due to an ongoing disk rebuild which is estimated to take about 59 hours (ETA 11/11/2019 11:00 PM GMT +1)

2019-11-16 06:50  Onlinebackup is suffering from a new outage due to storage backend problems. Technicians are actively working on a resolution. ETA 12h.

2019-11-15 12:00 Onlinebackup is ongoing a disk rebuild in the background, and it’s scheduled to take 80h. This will affect the service, and some backup can fail.

2019-10-31 10:40 Onlinebackup is up and running again, but with reduced performance as alot of work is running at the moment.

2019-10-31 07:30 Technicians is still working with onlinebackup to get it fully functional again. Update in a couple of hours.

2019-10-30 23:15 We are performing emergency maintenance on the backup system so ensure service stability at the moment.

2019-10-24 10:30: Due to rebuilding of storage nodes in onlinebackup, high disk i/o can give impact on backup and restore jobs.
