[COMPLETED] Planned Maintenance region KNA1 (Karlskrona) from 2020-02-17 08:00 to 2020-02-21 17:00 CET

2020-02-21 14:30 CET: All planned work finished. Service window is now closed.
2020-02-21 08:30 CET:
Low-risk work will continue throughout the day, and service window will be closed as soon as work is done.
2020-02-20 17:00 CET:
Kna1 is now fully on Train. Work is done for today. Low-risk work will continue tomorrow, but no more disruptions are expected. 
2020-02-20 08:45 CET:
Work has started again, and Neutron upgrade will continue throughout the day. Minor network instability and short connectivity disruptions are expected.
2020-02-19 17:00 CET:
Work done for today, and will resume again tomorrow.
2020-02-19 16:00 CET:
Nova upgrade complete. Neutron upgrade is now in progress. Minor network instability and short connectivity disruptions are expected during the rest of the day.
2020-02-19 14:00 CET:
Nova service upgrade is ongoing. Shorter API disturbances are expected.
2020-02-19 11:30 CET:
Service upgrade is now ongoing, starting with keystone, barbican, glance, cinder, heat & magnum
2020-02-19 11:15 CET:
Train upgrade is now ongoing, starting with infrastructure components. Shorter API disturbances are expected during this part of the upgrade.
2020-02-19 11:05 CET:
Neutron is fully upgraded, and Kna1 region is now fully on Stein. Preparations to start Stein to Train upgrade are currently in progress.
2020-02-19 08:15 CET:
Work has started again, and the last part of the work to upgrade neutron will continue throughout the day.
2020-02-18 16:55 CET:
Work is complete for today, and will resume tomorrow morning.
2020-02-18 15:00 CET: 
LBaaSv2 to Octavia conversion is done, and the work to upgrade neutron will continue throughout the afternoon.
2020-02-18 14:00 CET:
 
Converting the existing LBaaSv2 loadbalancers to Octavia will be executed during the afternoon. Some network disturbance occur when the switch is done.
2020-02-18 08:30 CET:
Work has started again, and next up is Neutron. Minor network instability and short connectivity disruptions are expected during the day.
2020-02-17 17:10 CET: Nova components upgraded. Work is complete for today, and will resume tomorrow morning.
2020-02-17 15:00 CET: Keystone, barbican, glance, cinder, heat & magnum is now running Stein. Next up Nova. Shorter API disturbances are expected during this part of the upgrade.
2020-02-17 14:00 CET: Infrastructure and miscellaneous components are upgraded, next up is keystone, barbican, glance, cinder, heat & magnum. Shorter API disturbances are expected during this part of the upgrade.
2020-02-17 08.50 CET: Maintenance window have been opened and work is ongoing.

City Network would like to inform you that we have planned maintenance as scheduled below. This post is an update to previously communicated information.

Customer Intervention MAY be required.

Region/datacenter: Openstack region KNA1 (Karlskrona, Sweden)
Maintenance window starts: 2020-02-17 08.00 CET
Maintenance window ends: 2020-02-21 17.00 CET

Maintenance scope:
Throughout the maintenance window, a number of improvements will be implemented – from functionality to security alignment.

The major part of the scope is an Openstack upgrade from Rocky to Train, which will offer certain new functions but also address a list of known bugs.
Some functions will improve seen to maturity level and Magnum (Container Orchestation) in particular.
Our ambition is to carry out the majority of the maintenance window with little to no impact on running services.

Expected customer impact:
No customer impact is expected other than very brief moment of packet loss, when and if active customer services are live migrated between nodes (compute and network)

Furthermore, Load Balancer as a Service v2 will be deprecated and removed in the Openstack Train release – why conversion of all existing LBaaSv2 services will be carried out througout the maintenance. Affected customers will be contacted individually with additional information.
